CPC (Colder Products Company), a manufacturer of quick-disconnect fittings for liquid cooling systems in electronics, has introduced the new Everis® BLQ6 Blind Fittings, which provide high-performance liquid cooling with a high flow rate of 3/8” and a Cv value of approximately 2.2. Chamfered design and connection tolerances are designed for rack and Panel configurations and are ideal for connection applications in blind spots.
“The new product is lightweight and strong, made of anodized aluminum, and has the same valve configuration as the LQ and BLQ series. We are patenting this configuration,” said Adan Ramirez, associate product manager for thermal management at CPC. “The Everis BLQ6 provides high throughput and reliability, making it ideal for maintenance connect, disconnect and lock applications in stationary server assemblies.”
CPC quick disconnects are known for being robust, reliable and leak-free. Like the rest of the Everis LQ series, the new BLQ6 quick connector features a multi-lobe seal that provides multiple protection against leaks during long connections without the connector deforming. Multi-lobe seals provide higher sealing efficiency than standard O-rings while requiring less force to connect. Everis BLQ6 fittings feature a valve-style design with no sealing friction when connected, ensuring quick and reliable valve closure when the fitting is disconnected. Thanks to the leak-free design, there is no dripping when disconnected under pressure, preventing Electronic devices from being exposed to fluids and enabling hot-swappable devices.
Additionally, the Everis BLQ6 blind mate has an optional panel mount kit. When the joint is installed in a designated panel or blade hole, the steel ring in the kit slides over the end and snaps into place, providing additional stability to the joint in the assembly during production. Optional mounting kits are available for females and/or spigots so there is no need to keep track of mating parts.
The BLQ6 is CPC’s first product under the Everis brand name. The brand was created to differentiate CPC’s portfolio of fittings specifically designed and manufactured for liquid cooling applications, from material composition to valve design.
