News on February 12 In the early hours of this morning, Samsung officially released the Galaxy S20 series of flagship phones, along with Samsung’s Quick Share feature, which debuted on the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra.
With Quick Share, users can “share everything with friends instantly,” Samsung said.
Similar to Apple’s AirDrop, Quick Share can Display contacts near a user to easily send files to them. But compared to AirDrop, the Quick Share feature allows users to share with up to 5 friends at the same time.
XDA Developers released screenshots of Quick Share’s interface last month. The interface shows that users can choose to allow a compatible Samsung phone or tablet device to send content to themselves, or to send content only to the user’s contacts.
However, the only devices currently compatible with the Quick Share feature are the Galaxy S20 series. Samsung said Quick Share will soon be available on other Samsung devices.
